Frequently asked
Questions, answered.

- 01
Is it really free?
Yes. Free for musicians to list, free for venues to search and contact. We may add optional paid tiers later, but the core marketplace stays free on both sides.
- 02
Who can list as an artist?
Any bookable act — solo singer-songwriters, duos, full bands, DJs, tribute acts, cover bands. If you have a few song links and you play live, you belong here.
- 03
What song providers do you support?
Spotify, SoundCloud, YouTube, Bandcamp, and Apple Music. Paste a track or album URL and we embed the player on your profile automatically.
- 04
How does booking work?
A venue finds you via search, sends a booking inquiry with a proposed date, set length, message, and (optionally) budget. You receive it in your inbox and can accept, decline, or reply. Both parties coordinate the rest in the thread.
- 05
Does FindLiveTalent handle payment?
Not yet. For now, payment happens directly between the venue and artist using whatever method you prefer. Payments and contracts are on the roadmap.
- 06
How do I get my profile noticed?
Three things: (1) complete every section of your profile, (2) add at least 3 song links, (3) keep your availability current. Profiles with more songs and clearer info rank higher in search.
- 07
Can I delete my profile?
Yes — head to Settings → Danger Zone. Your data is removed, but past booking inquiries stay with the venues you spoke with as a historical record.
- 08
I'm a venue — what counts as a venue?
Anywhere you book live music: bars, breweries, restaurants, listening rooms, festivals, private events, house concerts. If you pay artists to play, you're a venue.
- 09
How is this different from GigSalad or Sonicbids?
Free both sides (no $30/month artist tax), specifically focused on live music venues (not weddings/corporate), nationwide search with radius (not city-locked), and we take zero commission on bookings.
